IMPORTANT ENTRY NOTES:

  • Full Monty teams (2-4 crew or 5-8 crew) must first be registered by their crew captain. The captain will be responsible for paying the total entry fee. Remember to pay them back your cost! Or not... Crew members can be added individually or by the team captain.

  • Relay teams must be registered by the overall team captain. If you are doing the 4 team relay with rowing 8 vessel - that is max 32 people. Team members can do multiple legs, provided each team has at least one different person each leg. 

  • Relay members must select which leg(s) they will be competing in, Leg1 0-20km, Leg2 20-50km, Leg 3 50-75km or Leg 4 75-100km.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

THE RACE

  1. Event registration will occur from 6pm - 7.30pm. Briefing will occur at 7pm, Friday 24th November 2017 at the Waikato Rowing Club on Grantham Street, HAMILTON. There will be no registration on race day.

  2. The registration will be followed by the race briefing (again at 7pm in case you weren't reading the above). At least one representative from you crew must come along. It will cover important information relating to the race day's events.

  3. The Race will start at 7am (100km), 8:30am (80km), 11:00am (50km), 1:00pm (25km), Saturday 25th November 2017.

  4. Participants must make the final 25km mark by 2pm (100km & 50km events) or 2:15pm (80km) to avoid cutoff from the race.

  5. Entries open on the 25th of September.

  6. Entries close on the 10pm 22nd of November.

  7. Late entries will run 5 days out from entry close - beginning on the 17th.

  8. Crew amendments and scratchings close 5pm 24th November.

  9. Prize giving will be held alongside some snarlers on the BBQ at 5:30pm at the 100 km finish, Elbows Landing.

TRANSPORT AND SAFETY 

  1. It is the responsibility for crews and clubs to provide boat transport to the start line and from the finish line(s).

  2. It is the responsibility for crews and clubs to read and understand race rules and regulations. Failure to comply with these may result in disqualification. 

  3. The organisers reserve the right to impose time limits for classes due to safety.

  4. The organisers reserve the right to enforce the Force Majeure clause if necessary.
